AERATION
Core aeration is a key lawn care element to creating and maintaining a lush, green lawn. It can provide great benefits for the health and appearance of most turfgrass species in Indiana.
Core Aeration
Over time, soil becomes compacted, and thatch builds up preventing water, oxygen, and nutrients from reaching the roots. By removing small plugs of soil and thatch from the lawn, it breaks up the compacted soil to allow air, water, and fertilizer to reach your root system. This results in expansion of the root system for thicker, healthier grass. There is a reason the best golf courses in the world regularly aerate – they know the benefits of aeration!
Overseeding
Overseeding works with the aeration process targeting lawns that are experiencing thinner turf conditions. This process spreads a blanket coverage of seeding over an area of your lawn to promote thickening turf and improving the overall appearance of the lawn.
Greener, Healthier Grass
For best results, we recommend aeration and overseeding in early fall – from September through October. Core aeration will repair those thin or brown spots on your lawn to improve the color and overall create a healthier lawn for you!
